Odds 'N Ends

Kid Crafts and Activities
Art Projects For Kids: a blog with lots of art ideas and organized well. You can search by age, medium, etc.
Cannon's Cool paper crafts: for older kids or very patient parents.
Quaker Crafts: I just discovered Quaker (as in the oatmeal company) has todler activities on their website.
Home Science Tools: I'm not sure how user friendly the site is, but there seems to be an extensive list of science activities geared for kids PreK-2.
Crafty Crow Handmade Holiday List: no instructions for projects, but a great list to get your creative juices flowing.

Advice/Helpful Hints
Kiddio article: list of kids eat free restaurants.
Kiddio article: tips to keep your sanity when your spouse is away.
gocitykids.com: look up the calendar in your city to see what events are going on.

Service
This is a great time of year to put more focus on service activities you and your child(ren) can do. Here are a few I have come across, but there are plenty more out there. If you have a favorite please share the information with the rest of us.
Room to Read: donate to this nonprofit organization to help children around the world have access to books.
Unplug Your Kids: within her post on de-cluttering this unplugged mom gives a nice list of (and links to) alternate options for all your sorted junk.

That's all for now, hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
