According to the poll that just finished, we have lots of readers with children age 3 and under. This week's Bright Idea is for them.
Hang on to that plastic wipe container with the flip top lid next time the wipes have run out. Collect all those junk mail pretend credit cards and plastic yogurt cup lids. Let your little one practice hand-eye coordination by inserting the cards and lids into the slot on the top of the wipe container. Once the stack has run out, open the container and dump them out for another round of fun. It seems really simple, but you'd be amazed at how they enjoy it. Plus it's free!
Credit for this activity goes to my sister. She passed it on when Mr. A was a baby.

I like that idea - too bad I don't have toddlers anymore.
Poker chips and the plastic container coffee grounds come in works great too. Cut a slit in the lid and the toddlers can spend quite some time on that. They especially love the plink as they fall to the bottom.
